Paloma from Poland Part I

Sunlight
Shade

bottle
Peace! I really have no idea why the bottle shot is upside down, oh well. This nailpolish is by a brand called Paloma that I purchased while on a trip to poland. It is a cool toned lilac with lots of silver shimmer. It has a great formula and is fully opaque in two coats-rare for a light color. There are really only two downsides. One, it doesn't have a name, simply "13". And two, "13" is only available in Poland. I couldn't even find it online :( I have another nailpolish from Paloma, which I will be swatching briefly. It is called "8".

Seche Vite topcoat

Peace! Finally a picture that isn't blurry! Trust me, I'm really good at painting my nails, it's just that my photography skills suck. Anyways, now that I have blogged about my favorite basecoat, I shall blog about my favorite topcoat. So here it goes, my favorite topcoat is Seche Vite dry fast topcoat. Like the name suggests, it does dry pretty fast, but that's not the only reason why I love it. It is uber glossy and protects my manicure from chips like nothing I've ever seen. The only downside is that it's so glossy you can't tell if it has dried just by looking. No, I'm kidding, that's a great thing, not a downside. You only need one coat, and shouldn't add more. A lot of people say it takes a long time to master the application of Seche Vite but I've never had any trouble. Maybe I have superpowers ;D Like the basecoat, it is available at drugstores, and like the basecoat, it is very reasonably priced at just seven dollars.

Seche Base ridge filling basecoat

Peace! I know that a lot of you out there are looking for a great basecoat, right? Well here is my all time favorite. I've seen it in sallons, and heard about it via word of mouth. I apply one thin layer before using color. It dries fast, and it really does fill ridges. Plus, it makes my manicures last for ever, and that's an amazing feat for me because I am not a very careful person. Seche Base is available at drugstores, and at $7.00, very reasonably priced.

OPI "Suzi Says Da"

sequence: shade, indoors, sun

Peace! "Suzi Says Da"is a dark chocolate brown creme. It is part of OPI's Russia Collection. I think this is the coolest color, but that's just me. I love vampy, dark colors, and it's even better when they come in a trully original color. I can't think of any exact dupes to SSD but Revlon "Hot For Chocolate" is pretty similar, just a bit darker. This was a two coater, and the formula was amazing, as with all OPIs. I also used Seche Ridge Filling Basecoat and Seche Vite Top Coat. If you love cremes, like me, you absolutely must have this color. I love shimmers as well, but recently I bought a lot of cremes because I simply didn't have enough-really, I only had one and then a whole bunch of shimmers-so you will be seeing a lot of cremes.
PEACE OUT!!!!!!

OPI "Have You Seen My Limo?"

"Have You Seen My Limo?"- above; shade, below; sun
Peace! HYSML is a very beautiful yet hard to describe shade. I think the bottle shot actually captured it the best because the other photos were blurry and the glitter didn't really show. It's kind of a reddish, chocolatey purple with tons of silver, green, purple, and red shimmer, if that makes any sense. The red shimmer really comes out in the sun, making HYSML look kind of burgundy, but in the shade it looks more purpley. I would like to say it's a duochrome but it really isn't metallic enough. However, it doesn't really fit in with any other catergory so I will have to call it a duochrome. It's simply a nice vampy color filled with multi-colored glitter. Trust me, it's really cool. The camera can't quite capture the color. The formula was smooth and creamy, and application was a dream, as with all OPIs. This was opaque in just two coats. I also used Seche ridge filling basecoat and Seche Vite topcoat. By the way, HYSML is part of the OPI Hollywood collection, which is discontinued. Right now, I'm posting single swatches but I will soon be doing collections, such as Essie's fall collection. Also, if you want me to post a swatch of a color you'd like to see, email me at nailpolishheaven@gmail.com. I can't promise they'll all be shown, but I'll try to post it!

New OPI swatches coming soon!

Peace! I just picked up some new OPI polishes today. These polishes include "Curry Up, Don't Be Late" from the India Collection, "Suzi Says Da" from the Russia Collection, "Here Today, Arragon Tommorow" from the Espana Collection, and "Bogota Blackberry" from the France Collection. I also got "Passion" and "Puerto Vallarta Violeta" but I just had to place them on the edge of the counter... Ofcourse, me being me, I had to accidentally knock them straight onto my concrete floors. Not only did $20 go into the trash, quite literally, I have huge pink and purple stains on the floor. Oh well :'( And "Puerto Vallarta Violeta" just happens to be discontinued, luckilly, there were a few more bottles at my local CVS. The funny thing is, it's not the first nail polish I broke, and the other one was broken in a really hilarious way. It was totally sealed shut so I decided to pry it open with a butcher's knife, and well, I think you can imagine waht happened...
